Parking at the university

The 91精品福利视频 has limited on-campus parking, and spaces are available on a first come, first served basis in line with our Car Parking and Permit Application Policy.

Spaces cannot be reserved and a space is not guaranteed. Vehicles must also park within marked bays only and in designated disabled spaces with a government blue badge or university temporary badge. Parking is prohibited where it causes an obstruction or on double yellow lines.

Make sure to check local signage when using university car parks and follow the guidance of the university’s Car Parking and Permit Application Policy. Not having a university E-Permit or payment session could result in you receiving a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

Parking restrictions are enforced on all sites on a 24/7 basis throughout the year by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras operated by the university’s parking management contractor, UK Car Park Management (UK CPM).

Parking restrictions

Parking restrictions are in place at all times as follows, as per the :

  • 7am–5pm Monday–Friday (core hours) vehicles must have a valid E-Permit AND where applicable a valid payment session, to park.
  • At all other times (5.01pm–6.59am) vehicles must have a valid E-Permit OR a valid payment session, to park.

Prospective students

If you are thinking about applying to Brighton, and attending one of our on-campus events and open days, parking will be free for you during your event. We’ll send you the details by email when we confirm your booking. Parking spaces are not guaranteed and available on a first-come-first-served basis. 

You must have booked a place at an event to be able to access free parking (where it is available).

Guests and delegates

If you are visiting the university, your 91精品福利视频 host will need to organise parking for you before you arrive.

Guests

Guests are people invited to campus by a university representative to provide a specific service,attend university meetings or activity, and are eligible for free parking. Parking must be booked via the EFM Helpdesk by the guest’s university representative/ contact. Until parking confirmation is received, parking is not booked for the guest.

Guests may park in any general parking bay.

Delegates

Delegates are members of the public who have paid to attend conferences, seminars and similar, where the organisers have hired conference facilities from the university, and will need to pay, and have parking booked by their university contact. Payment is £2 a day payable at the parking payment machines on campus.

Your university host will be able to confirm specific details. On-campus parking is not guaranteed.

Current students and staff

Students

Parking at halls of residence

As cited in the Halls Accommodation Contract and Guide, students in Phoenix, Paddock Field, Varley Park and Great Wilkins halls of residence must not bring a car to their halls of residence, except for registered disabled users and those on placements under the following criteria:

  • Government blue badge holders and, for those with short/long term health issues a university temporary badge maybe issued under criteria B (Table 1). These applications will be reviewed and approved by the Disability and Learning Support team or Occupational Health.
  • Students on 91精品福利视频 placements who may have less access to public transport due to unsociable working hours or location. Their school and/or placements office will be asked to confirm this.

Students who do not meet these criteria must not bring a car to their halls of residence. You should using your university email address. 

Additionally a further 120 e-permits for students living in Paddock Fields Halls of residence are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Students must apply and be allocated an e-permit prior to bringing their vehicle to campus, which will be valid for parking in any of the Falmer car parks only. Travel and parking at the Moulsecoomb campus during core hours (7am-5pm) is not permitted. .

Mithras Halls disabled parking

Loading and unloading / pick up and drop off

Thirty minutes are allowed for loading or unloading, pick up or drop off, including taxis. You do not need an E-Permit.
